What is a powerflush and why do my radiators need one?

A powerflush is a way of cleaning out all the rust, sludge and debris that accumulates in your central heating system over time. 

One of the most common reasons for a powerflush is if your radiators are not as warm anymore. Cold radiators might be a sign that there is a build-up of black sludge called magnetite, which can stop the flow of hot water through your system.
